Portability Information


Starting September 20, 2022, number portability for fixed lines is enabled in Argentina. Phone numbers from eligible areas can be ported to Llamada IP.

We invite you to complete our form to port your line. Once the information is verified and technical availability is confirmed, we will initiate the process.

Number portability is a right that allows the user to change service providers while retaining their number within the same area code. According to the Number Portability Regime, starting in 2022, users have portability of fixed-type lines for the different prefixes according to the corresponding schedule.


Frequently Asked Questions


  • How does the process continue once the form is completed?

    Once the information is technically and administratively validated, we will contact you to confirm the process and manage the validation PIN to submit the request. The PIN is a validation obtained from a phone call that the owner must make from the line to be ported. Once this procedure is completed, a date and time will be agreed upon to execute the porting (2 AM, 10 AM, or 3 PM). One or multiple numbers can be ported at once.

  • How long does the Portability process take?

    The Portability process takes 5 (five) business days from the approval of the request in the Number Portability Database Administrator (ABD).

  • Can I continue using my current telephone equipment?

    Yes. By using an IP adapter, you can continue using your analog phone.

  • How else can I use my line?

    Due to the characteristics of the services provided by Llamada IP, you can use our service on IP phones, softphones on the PC, or even with an application on your cell phone.

  • Will I be without a line at any time?

    On the day the Portability is executed, the line could be disconnected for a maximum of 3 hours.

  • What contractual obligations do I have?

    The User Holder must cancel or agree on a payment plan for debts arising from the use of the service and their punitive interests, if applicable, with the previous operator.
